The problems of understanding algebra in university students

Abstract

This article is the result of research on the problems associated with the understanding of algebra presented by university students in the construction of mathematical knowledge, taking into account cognitive obstacles, the family of difficulties associated with algebra and procedural errors of university students in algebra. In the development of the paper will be described from the hermeneutical analysis, some basic assumptions of the role played by feelings and emotions in mathematics and mathematization processes.
